Project Overview: The Craft Beverage Micro Grant Program, administered by the Empire State Development (ESD) under the ESD CRAFT initiative, supports capital-based projects aimed at enhancing the production capacity, business infrastructure, and profitability of licensed beverage producers. Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery, located in Hammondsport, NY, was named the award recipient in the Southern Tier region under CFA #130060 for their Craft Beverage expansion project.

Expansion Plan: Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery will utilize the grant to expand its existing wine cellar, implementing upgrades such as improved concrete floors, drains, insulation, and steel siding. These enhancements will enable the winery to increase its storage capacity for oak barrels. Additionally, state-of-the-art temperature and humidity control mechanisms will be installed to ensure optimal conditions for wine production. The expansion is designed to significantly boost production capacity, meeting the growing demand for the winery’s exceptional wines in the market.
