+SENIOR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT/PROJECT MANAGER

Saratoga Springs Office

Saratoga Associates Landscape Architects, Architects, Engineers and Planners, one of New York State’s most respected professional design firms, is seeking a full time Senior Landscape Architect/Project Manager in our Saratoga Springs, NY office. This office is a client-centered, business casual, friendly, but fast-paced environment to work in.

We will hire a Senior Landscape Architect, RLA, as a member of a multi-disciplinary design team including landscape architects, architects, engineers and planners. Candidates should have 8+ years of professional experience, and will lead design teams with site analysis, concept design, production of construction documents, project presentation graphics, and construction administration efforts. This position is ideal for candidates who are looking to enhance their professional skills and desire to advance to a senior management position in the near future.

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Landscape Architecture program is required. The preferred candidate should be a Registered Landscape Architect in the State of NY, or be able to seek reciprocal registration from another state, with at least 8 years of full-time work experience in a similar fast paced and detail oriented office environment.

We require a team member with excellent design, graphic, computer, written and verbal communication skills who is comfortable managing production and design workflow independently and with small teams on a wide variety of projects. Candidates must have a strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office, excellent grading skills, knowledge of construction document preparation, and familiarity with plant materials suited to the Northeast region in addition to possessing proficient hand drafting and sketching abilities resulting in strong conceptual designs. The preferred candidate should have strong business relationships in upstate NY and a passion for new business development.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field and strong working knowledge and experience using Arc Geographic Information Systems/Spatial Analyst, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
