The small Adirondack Village of Saranac Lake is a popular destination for year-round outdoor recreation. The Village’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy seeks to build upon this strong tourist economy while preserving the scenic small town charm treasured by its 5,000 permanent residents.
Saratoga Associates was retained by the Village to provide urban design, landscape architecture, and visioning services associated with the implementation of the previously prepared Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy.
The Saranac Lake Vision Concept enriches the community by building on its authentic, hometown character as a fundamental element of any future initiative. Reinvestment in new cultural, residential, research and educational opportunities will add to the vitality of the community and enhance its role within the region. The Vision Concept conveys a strong and clear vision for the future of the Village that is compelling, inspiring, and imagines new possibilities.
