Pulaski Pool House Replacement

Saratoga Associates was asked by New City Parks to develop early conceptual designs for a potential replacement for the original Pulaski Park pool house, built in 1957, which had been closed for many years due to severe deterioration.
Saratoga Associates led the design and development of a modern, new replacement facility, designed with current accessibility standards, and integrating input from a group of stakeholders, as well as public voting.

The new pool area also includes a new equipment and storage building and a seasonal bathhouse with restrooms, changing areas, and a kitchen rental area. The pool deck was also redone to provide a safe and accessible area. In addition to the swimming area, the project provides a new splash pad, bicycle racks, an upgraded mechanical room building, and sidewalks that will be part of overall connectivity improvements within the park. New signage and lighting help to integrate the new pool area into the park while also enhancing visitor safety and wayfinding, as well as a new seating area for the summer school lunch program.
