Saratoga Associates was awarded a recent Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) contract for public realm enhancements and amenities at the former Chalmers Mill site in Amsterdam, NY. The enhancements include a new boardwalk, civic space, and streetscape improvements.
Mary Moore Wallinger of LAndArt Studio, a NYS-certified Woman Owned Business Enterprise (WBE), will lead landscape architecture and design efforts for this project. While Foit-Albert Associates, a NYS-certified Minority Owned Business Enterprise (MBE), will lead the structural design of the elevated boardwalk and also provide permitting, civil, and environmental engineering services. Saratoga Associates is proud to once again partner with the City of Amsterdam to bring this project to completion.

Saratoga Associates completed the “Chalmers Building Feasibility Study and Southside Neighborhood Redevelopment Strategy Final Report” in 2004 and completed site Environmental Investigation and Remediation activities at the Chalmers Site from 2006 to 2012.
