As landscape architects, Saratoga Associates seeks to articulate the connections between natural systems and people. Through the artful reconciliation of competing needs, we create memorable, meaningful and beautiful spaces in which to live, work and play. Above all, we strive to make compelling places emerge out of respect for the nature, history, culture and use of a site.
The Architecture Studio within Saratoga Associates has a long history of innovative and socially responsible design of new structures and existing buildings. The breadth of our work represents community and regional cornerstones, including educational institutions, government structures, historic properties, commercial venues, housing, and cultural centers. Our Project philosophy strives to combine the delight of design with an environmentally responsible, long–term approach.
Saratoga Associates provides a full range of services in civil and environmental engineering including facilities planning and engineering design for residential, institutional, municipal, commercial and industrial developments; water supply and distribution system analysis and design; wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment; stormwater management; and roadway design. Through careful evaluation and sensitivity to all aspects of the engineered product, we develop a functional and fiscally prudent foundation for each project.
For forty years, Saratoga Associates has worked with counties, municipalities and the private sector to build both fiscal and ecological sustainability into community plans. Our plans recognize the building blocks of a community: public gathering places, pedestrian–friendly spaces, and the connections between home, work, commerce, and recreation. Our economic development studies help our clients identify their best assets and devise strategies to capitalize upon them. Our approach to public participation ensures that the diverse constituencies are recognized and integrated into the planning process, which in turn translates into public ownership – essential to plan adoption and implementation.
