The Van Slooten Lakefront Development is a planned mixed use waterfront redevelopment project on the shore of Lake Champlain in Port Henry, NY. The development includes owns 35 waterfront acres on the site of a former mill. The plan creates a vibrant mixed-use residential lakefront community that capitalizes on wonderful views of the lake and with a unique physical character that creates an identifiable address for residents and businesses.
The Plan incorporates key site assets including 4,100 linear feet of Lake Champlain frontage within a quaint the Adirondack hamlet. The development program includes apartments, condominiums, a boating center, marina, retail, inn, conference center, and restaurant all oriented to the primary and secondary housing market. The project master plan and implementation strategy are based on market analysis, physical master planning, and environmental considerations. Permits and approvals were pursued from both the Town of Port Henry and the Adirondack Park Agency for the marina and shoreline development elements of the project.
