Corinth Rail Station, Corinth, NY
The town of Corinth desired a historically-inspired train station as the base for passenger and freight steam engine operations on the Warren County rail spur. Working with the Department of State, the Town of Corinth, and the community, Saratoga Associates developed a design for a rail station that fits the character of the Adirondack community, and provides plenty of outdoor covered areas for rail passengers headed to and from the Great outdoors.
Like the original rail station, the new facility will provide an indoor ticket booth adjacent to the lobby with a vaulted ceiling. Restroom facilities round out the first floor program, while upstairs railroad offices overlook the tracks. The traveller is provided with a large covered waiting area- which includes a pavilion used for local events during the off-hours.
